Terms of Service

Last updated August 2026

These terms govern your purchase and use of the software sold on beranek.site (“the apps”). They form a contract between you and Jan Beránek. By buying or using an app you accept them.

Who you are dealing with

The apps are made and licensed by Jan Beránek, Za Strašnickou vozovnou 2428/20, 100 00 Prague, Czech Republic. Contact: [email protected].

Orders are sold and fulfilled by Paddle.com Market Ltd (Judd House, 18–29 Mora Street, London, EC1V 8BT, United Kingdom), which acts as the merchant of record and authorised reseller for every purchase. Paddle — not us — is your contracting party for the payment itself, and handles billing, sales tax and VAT, invoicing and payment disputes. Their buyer terms apply to the transaction alongside these terms. Charges appear on your statement as PADDLE.NET* BERANEK.

What you are buying

You are buying a licence to use an app — not the software itself, and not its source code. Two plans are offered:

  • Lifetime — a one-time payment for a perpetual licence, including all future updates to that app.
  • Monthly — a subscription that stays valid while it is paid for.

Each licence is personal and non-exclusive. It covers the number of concurrent installations shown at checkout. You may not resell, sublicense, rent out or redistribute a licence or an app, and you may not remove or work around the licensing mechanism.

Prices and tax

All prices are shown in USD. The final price, including any VAT or sales tax due in your country, is calculated and displayed by Paddle at checkout before you pay. Paddle issues your invoice and remits the tax.

Delivery

Licences are delivered electronically. Immediately after payment, your licence key is emailed to the address you used at checkout and shown on the confirmation page. Activate the app once online. After that it verifies your licence locally, including offline. If your key does not arrive, you can recover it or check your licence at any time on the manage page.

Free trial

Every paid app offers a 14-day free trial with no card required — one trial per app per email address. The trial stops working when it expires. It does not convert into a paid plan and never charges you.

Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation

A monthly subscription renews automatically each month at the then-current price until you cancel, and is charged to the payment method you gave at checkout. You can cancel at any time from the link in your Paddle receipt email or by emailing [email protected]. Cancelling stops future charges, and your licence stays valid until the end of the period you have already paid for. We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before any price change affecting your subscription.

Refunds

Purchases are covered by a 14-day refund window. The full terms, including how to request a refund and how EU withdrawal rights apply, are on the refund policy page.

Support

Support is provided by email at [email protected], normally answered within 2 business days.

Availability and disclaimer

The apps are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that an app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will suit a particular purpose. Activation depends on our licence service. We aim to keep it available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. If an app is discontinued, we will publish a final build that continues to work for existing perpetual licences.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from an app or these terms is limited to the amount you paid for the licence in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data or lost profits. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Your rights as a consumer

If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep all mandatory rights under applicable consumer law, including in the Czech Republic. Those rights are not affected by anything in these terms. You can also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform, or contact the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce) as the competent out-of-court dispute body.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use an app unlawfully, and not to reverse-engineer, decompile or modify it except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its date, and material changes affecting subscribers are announced by email. These terms are governed by Czech law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
